Important Note: This event is intended for UBC students and recent graduates exploring careers at the intersection of climate and business. While we welcome others who are interested in these topics, we will prioritize participation from UBC students and recent graduates.


This session will focus on how climate action is transforming the world of finance—from sustainable investing and carbon markets to climate risk management and new financial products designed to accelerate the transition to a low-carbon economy.

1. Shane Grovue, VP Clean Technology, RE Royalties (Innovative finance company specializing in renewable energy)

2. Ashley Callister, Investment Lead, NorthX Climate Tech (Funding for climate hard tech and solutions to cut emissions and grow our economy)

3. Rob Napoli, CFO, Cascadia Seaweed (Sustainability finance CFO and Capital Formation helping Cascadia Seaweed to be North America's leading cultivator and processor of seaweeds for agriculture)
