Powering the Future, Financing the Great Energy Transition
September 13 - September 14, 2024
UBC Sauder’s Centre for Climate and Business Solutions is hosting the 9th IWFSAS conference, titled "Powering the Future, Financing the Great Energy Transition"
The International Workshop on Financial System Architecture and Stability (IWFSAS) provides a forum for academic researchers, practitioners, and policymakers to discuss critical issues related to the structure and design of financial systems and their impact on macro-financial stability and sustainable and inclusive economic growth.
The 9th IWFSAS conference offers a unique opportunity to bring together thought leaders, academics, practitioners, and policymakers to advance the dialogue on one of the most pressing issues of our time: financing the great energy transition and managing the associated risks and opportunities for investors, businesses, and other socioeconomic actors.
By exploring the intersection of finance, economics, and the energy transition, we aim to stimulate further research and action to accelerate the transition to a sustainable, inclusive, and climate-resilient future. Your expertise and involvement will be crucial in enriching these discussions and driving meaningful change.
Conference Highlights:
- September 13: Industry Day (UBC Robson Square, Downtown Vancouver)
- Engage in expert-led discussions with top industry figures, such as Jill Earthy, Jennifer Coulson, ICD.D, Jonathan Fowlie, and keynote speaker Barbara Zvan, President and CEO of the University Pension Plan Ontario.
