Climate Conversation: Climate Policy and the new US Administration
January 21, 2025, 12:00 pm to 1:30 pm
With the inauguration of Donald Trump for a second term as President on January 20, 2025, the role of the US federal government in climate action is expected to shift significantly. Join us for an informal conversation with faculty experts who will lead us in a dialogue around:
- Executive Orders impacting climate policy that are put in place on inauguration day
- The anticipated role of subnational actors, such as individual States, in climate policy and action
- The impacts on global progress towards reducing global carbon emissions
- Impact on global climate commitments, such as the Paris Agreement
- And other topics that emerge!
The Climate Conversation series is an opportunity to gather with colleagues in informal dialogue. There is no registration required, but if you would like to provide your contact information below, we can reach out to you directly with any potential event updates. These events are ‘brown bag’ – please feel free to bring a lunch or snack. Tea or similar will be provided – please bring a mug whenever possible.
