A Theatrical Journey Through Memory, Climate, and Resilience

August 21, 2026, 2:45 pm to 4:30 pm

The NEST (housed on the third floor of Festival House) | Granville Island | 1398 Cartwright Street

This summer, the Lifelong Health and Wellbeing Lab will present an original dramatic production created and performed by older adults, bringing their personal experiences of extreme heat and climate change to the stage. This production is the culmination of our “Promoting Heat Resilience among Older Adults through Group-Based Arts” project—an arts-based exploration of how storytelling, creativity, and connection can support communities in adapting to a changing climate. Through theatre, movement, and lived experience, this intimate performance invites audiences to witness the realities of aging in a warming world while celebrating the wisdom, creativity, and resilience of older adults.

Please note that refreshments won't be on sale at the venue, but we encourage attendees to bring their water to stay hydrated. Eating and drinking during the play is prohibited, but attendees can do so outside of the theatre.
